According to Collier, a multi-phase upgrade plan is already underway, which includes the recently opened Marina Cay Bar & Grill, upgraded Harbor Boutique, and completion of both The Leeward House and The Shoreline House villas. A new multimillion-dollar round of capital improvements will include enhanced dining experiences, new furnishings in Marina Village accommodations and select villas, expansion of offerings on Marina Cay, and much more. The project is scheduled to be completed by Spring 2024.
Emerging as one of the latest enhancements, an 8-acre private island just offshore from Beef Island, Tortola, has come to life in its newest iteration, much to the delight of local residents, charter boat crews and island-hopping visitors.
The new Marina Cay Bar & Grill will be open Wednesday-Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., serving lunch and dinner in a picturesque, open-air setting overlooking Tortola and other nearby islands. Managed by Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina, Marina Cay will be accessible to local residents, visitors and resort guests via the property’s private ferry, as well as charter boats and island-hopping adventurers who can tie up to one of the 29 mooring balls, which may be reserved on the BoatyBall App.
